Updating Planning Ideas

Front Cover:

·         Masthead will take up 1/6^th of the page: either red or blue.

·         Will use a black and white colour scheme with one/two accent colour(s)

·         Main article about a 4 piece band: boys

·         The image on the front cover: wearing black with one or two accent colours. Casual outfits (jeans, tshirt/shirt, trainers, props – guitars/microphone stand), will edit using photoshop.

·         Song/album reviews, how to play section (guitar), and events section, maybe on a banner.

·         White background with shadows in the top right and left corners, creating a ‘triangle’ look – vignette

·         Pugs in the bottom right containing the barcode, issue number, date and price.

 

Contents:

·         Will use columns

·         Many images (around 7)

·         Colour scheme continued

·         2 different fonts – headings and detain, sizes 14/16 for both, black text – same fonts as front cover

·         ½ / 2/3^rd of the articles will be set out with an image

·         Around 15/25 articles

·         Magazine will have around 125 – 140 pages

·         Page numbers in circles that may overlap the lines separating the columns, placed on the left of the columns.

 

 

DPS:

·         One image will use a whole page

·         Will use an image from the same shoot from the front cover if it looks suitable

·         Same different fonts used on contents and front cover

·         Will use columns

·         Question and Answer format

·         I will conduct more research to finalise these ideas.
